Clutches

B&B

How it works?

When the torque exceeds the set value:

  • the limiter disengages,

  • or slips,

  • or breaks in a controlled manner (depending on the type).

This way, the excessive force is not transmitted to the rest of the system.

What is it used for?

They are very common in:

  • agricultural machinery (drivelines, harvesters, planters)

What is it?

They are mechanical safety and protection devices. They are designed to prevent equipment from being damaged when the torque (rotational force) exceeds a safe limit.
